SUMMARY:October Eastern Section Meetup
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a morning of discovery\, connection\, and all things butterflies at Lowcountry Montessori School! Butterfly Bonanza is a hands-on opportunity to connect with fellow South Carolina educators while exploring the fascinating world of butterflies and native pollinators. Participants will have the chance to catch butterflies\, practice butterfly identification\, and explore native pollinator gardens. A special goal for this morning is to catch\, tag and release Monarch butterflies. Learn how the LMS Garden Department has incorporated monarch research into its curriculum and discover the important role students can play in conservation and scientific research. We’ll also learn how the Champions of the Environment Grant supported the success of this project and their school garden. Whether you’re an experienced butterfly enthusiast or simply curious about the pollinators in your own backyard\, everyone is welcome! Open to all. Contact annie.boyd@lowcountrymontessori.com with questions. Parking instructions: Lowcountry Montessori School is a gated outdoor facility. Please park in the immediate lot to the left. The gate facing the parking lot will be open and will remain open during the event.
