This work has never been about quick fixes. It's built the same way anything worth growing is built — season by season. This year, we're joining forces with the Southeast Environmental Education Alliance (SEEA) for a joint conference — bringing together environmental educators from across South Carolina and the broader South for four days of learning, connection, and honest conversation about where this field has been and where it's headed. Environmental education in South Carolina has deep roots. Some of the people in this room helped plant them decades ago; others are just starting to dig in. Either way, we're all part of the same growth.

This year's conference takes place at the College of Charleston's Mace Brown Natural History Museum — a fitting setting for a theme about time, change, and staying grounded through it. We'll spend four days looking back at how far environmental education has come, and putting real work into where it still needs to go. Expect over 100 environmental educators, practical sessions, field-based learning, and time to just talk shop with people who get it. This is a conference built by and for the folks doing this work on the ground — in classrooms, on trails, in gardens, and everywhere in between. Registration coming soon!
