Shell-abrating the Green Sea Turtle: EEASC-SCMEA Meet Up

August 19, 2023 from 4:30 – 7:30 pm

Don’t miss this turtle-y awesome event exclusively for Environmental Education Association of South Carolina (EEASC) and/or South Carolina Marine Educators Association (SCMEA) members! Join Huntington Beach State Park Interpretive Ranger, Mike Walker, as we journey to the jetty at the north end of the island to learn about and view juvenile green sea turtles! Participants will have the option of walking to the end of island from the parking lot (~1.2 miles) or being shuttled via ATV. EEASC and SCMEA will provide dinner and snacks, and we invite attendees to bring a lesson plan or resource related to sea turtles to swap or share. Spaces are limited and the deadline to sign up is August 14. Questions can be sent to Heidi Champion or E.V. Bell.
