January...the longest month of the year, at least that's what it feels like.

FEAR NOT, this too shall pass and what better way to pass the time than with EEASC friends learning about programming at the Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center? (Don't worry, they have an indoor space!)

The Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center serves as a learning center for children and adults in Laurens County. The property, given to the Soil Conservation District in 1992 as a gift by retired Soil Conservation Service employee, Joe Adair, also includes an education building, office, nature trails, historic cabin and a picnic area. They have also recently installed a story walk trail. Instruction at the center focuses on the natural sciences and soil and water conservation.

We'll learn from center director and one of the newest EEASC board members, Tanya Towne, about field trip offerings, their Team Ecology program, and maybe get to meet some ambassador animals!
