Pass-it-on Challenge: Many countries celebrate “Boxing Day” after Christmas. One tradition is to “box up” items that are no longer needed and donate them to others. This year, we invite our Midlands EEASC friends to bring unused or gently used items to our 8am January 14 meet-up at Sonoco Recycling. Members may "shop" and donate to EEASC for any item they take home with them (in December we raised $100 at our Holiday Swap Shop). The remainder of the items will be given to charity.

Purpose: Meetups provide opportunities for environmental educators and communicators from both formal and non-formal education settings to build relationships, strengthen partnerships, share resources and program updates, and cross-pollinate their program ideas with colleagues.

Agenda: Meetups begin with a facilitated round-robin session where participants share updates and announcements. Come prepared to announce any program dates, opportunities for partnership, or information requests (max 5 minutes per person).  Following the round-robin, educators are invited to mix-n-mingle over refreshments. 

Schedule: Meetups are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month, alternating between 8am and 3:30pm.  Locations and timings may vary, so be sure to check the website for the next event!

Parking Instructions: Parking is limited, so do your best to carpool. When you arrive at the Sonoco Recycling building, park outside the fence (yes, there are "no parking signs" posted here), use extreme caution crossing the busy truck lot, enter under the awning, and come upstairs.
