Details: Dive into the world of Nature Play with Saluda Shoals Park Interpretive Ranger, Rachel Kennerly! By experiencing Nature Play in situ, participants will be inspired and equipped to bring Nature Play into their classroom and education programs.
Explore Ranger Rachel’s Backyard Saturday program, which has just finished its second year and averaged 48 guests per program, and gain tips and tricks to build a Nature Play program with no budget. Find ways to reuse everyday items to connect children and families with nature, eliminate boundaries, and help families overcome the fear of being outside.
A round robin networking session will follow. Come prepared to announce any program dates, opportunities for partnership, or information requests (~2 minutes per person). Please provide a written copy of your announcements (bullet points are fine) to the meetup note-taker before the end of the event to ensure announcement accuracy. If you are not able to type your announcements ahead of time, you may hand-write them during the meeting. Following the round-robin, educators are invited to mix-n-mingle over refreshments.
