Join all your favorite EEASC friends for an end-of-summer tubing trip. Saluda Shoals Park is offering a $15, two-hour tube trip that includes the shuttle. This experience is open to EEASC members and their guests (the person who holds the EEASC membership can add guests who are not members to their registration).
Be Prepared: Wear water activity clothing because you will be sitting in water for two hours. Sunscreen, hat, and a water bottle are recommended. Float is in direct sun for two hours. Dry bags/waterproof bags are recommended for items like car keys and phones; Ranger Rachel will have some available, but bring your own if you have one.
Parking Passes: Parking passes are $5/carload. Pay at the gatehouse window and hang the parking pass in the window of your car.
Directions to Upper Boat Ramp: Enter Saluda Shoals Park at 5605 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Once you pick up your parking pass, proceed to the stop sign and take a right. Drive past the Environmental Education Center and over the wooden bridge. The Upper Boat Ramp is at the end of that road; park in the lot across from the boat shed.
Important Note: There is a chance that the river level will be too high for tubes. If this happens, you will be contacted ASAP and informed the trip is cancelled.
Tubing Trip Contact: If you have any questions or need help in any way, please contact Ranger Rachel at 803-604-6012.
