You are invited to a field study from 9-10 am on Saturday, August 28 to see Locklair Farm's fascinating Food Forest. The address is 109 State Pond Road Gaston, SC 29053.
Locklair Farm became part of Tory Morton's permaculture homestead five years ago when he was asked to design a food forest. Permaculture design is a passion and hobby that Tory began ten years ago with a desire to become more self-sufficient and help change the current monoculture paradigm.
Tory is a physical therapist assistant, journeyman beekeeper, Eagle Scout, ballet teacher and former professional ballet dancer with the Columbia City Ballet.
Locklair Farm has spent the past three years planting fruit and nut trees using Tory's design and now has over 25 different varieties of edible plants in their Food Forest. They are using their experiences to educate people about permaculture gardening and farming.
