Please join us for a special Midlands+ Meetup at Cook's Mountain in Lower Richland on Tuesday, March 8, from 4-6pm! Naturalist and educator Jennifer Mancke will guide us on a exploration of this unique and beautiful site.
Cook's Mountain is a monadnock with a surprising view that is 17 miles from Hwy 77. After meeting at the kiosk inside the park, we will convoy to the top of the mountain and take in the view of the Wateree River valley, enjoy the lone mountain's geologic and historic story, and take a short hike on a wild ridge. We'll be able to see Spring springing from a height! Time permitting, we may also visit another elevation on our way down and enjoy that ecosystem as well. Please arrive on time so we can follow each other to the top.
