What better way to end your work week than at the beach! The Eastern Section of EEASC, along with the South Carolina Marine Educators Association (SCMEA), invite you for a fun afternoon of beachcombing followed by fish printing at Folly Beach County Park! We’ll spend part of the time exploring beach treasures and then engage in the creative Japanese art form of gyokau, or fish printing.

To Bring/Wear: hat, sunscreen, refillable water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, an article of clothing to fish print (optional)*

Please tell the gate attendee that you are with the EEASC group and you won’t have to pay the entrance fee (EEASC will cover this cost). We will spend the first hour discovering different treasures along the far south end of the island and then spend the last hour engaging in some “gyotaku” (fish printing) using your finds or specimens we have for you to borrow.
