Join us for the March Midlands Meetup at the Catawba Cultural Center, where visitors can learn about many important aspects of the 6,000 year history of the Catawba people. The museum highlights Catawba pottery, the struggle to survive, the role of women in Catawba culture, Catawba military service, Indian schools, and the evolution of Catawba life since the arrival of European settlers to the area. Visitors can also learn about the importance of the Catawba River in the culture of the Catawba Indian Nation. The Yehasuri Trail follows the old wagon trail 0.6 miles to the Catawba River.
